Adolfo Serra

Adolfo Serra (Spain) / 1980

Degree in Advertising and Public Relations, he soon returned to his childhood passion: drawing. He looked for his old pencils and watercolours and studied illustration at the School of Art 10 in Madrid. Since then, his table is full of colours, papers and textures. And the rest remains to be written, or better, illustrated.

His illustrations have been selected at several international contests and exhibitions: Bologna Children´s Book Fair Exhibition, “A la orilla del Viento” children's book contest, Mostra Internazionalle d'Illustrazione per l'infanzia de Sàrmede 'Le immagini della fantasia' (Italy) and 4thCJ Picture Book Awards (Korea).

His wordless version of "Little Red Ridding Hood" is published in Spain, Germany, France and Mexico, winning several prizes:

Finalist in Junceda Iberia Prize (2012). Spain.

Finalist in Illustrated Album Prize, given by Madrid Booksellers Guild (2011). Spain.

'Dragón Ilustrado' Prize, awarded by El Dragón Lector Bookshop (2011). Spain.

Finalist in Aurelio Blanco Prize (2011). Spain.
