Herchive

Herchive is a visual archive of women and non-binary artists throughout history.

Created in 2019 by a collective of Portuguese illustrators - Bárbara Fonseca, Inês Costa, Patrícia Mafra and Marta Dias - and today featuring the work of illustrators from all around  the world, the archive aims to celebrate both renown and lesses-known artists. Each entry shares a portrait of the artist and details about their practice explaining the context in which their art was created and the unique challenges they overcame at the time.
